Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid bio-remodelling treatment. It addresses the problems of ageing skin, such as a dull complexion, and dry, tired looking skin.

The science bit:

The molecular weight of hyaluronic acid can go up to 11,000. There are two HA’s used in Profhilo, with molecular weights of 80/100 and 1100/1400.

Action of Profhilo:        

In Profhilo, the low HA molecule sits within the skin, gradually rising. The heavier molecule, deep with the skin, stays at that depth. This results in improved skin in both the dermis and the epidermis. It also stimulates the body’s own production of HA and elastin,

As hyaluronic acid can attract and bond to up to 1000 times its weight in water, it is an intensely re-moisturising treatment.

Treatment:

This is a two-part treatment, four weeks apart.

There are five injections to each side of the face, and the Profhilo spreads through the tissue about two centimeters from the site of the injection.

Neck, arms, knees and décolletage are also treatable areas.
