Threads (Cogs) Training Course

The difference between mono and cog threads

Mono threads are smooth without barbs and are anchored to a point on the face or the scalp. They mainly tighten the skin and provide a small amount of lift. Cog threads have barbs which hook onto the skin to provide support and lift the sagging tissue.

The action of Threads

Threads are multi-functional. They relax muscles and tendons whilst stimulating the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.

The threads dissolve within two to six months, and the lifting and skin rejuvenation effects can last for up to two years.

Threads are suitable for:

  • Forehead
  • Eyebrows
  • Cheeks
  • Ears
  • Around the eyes
  • Nasolabial lines (sides of nose)
  • Marionette Lines (sides of mouth)
  • Smokers lines (around lips)
  • Jowls
  • Jawline
  • Double chin
  • Cleavage
  • Full face and neck area
  • Rhinoplasty

NOTE: Students wishing to learn Cogs threads must have passed the Mono threads course.

Cogs Training Course teaches a revolutionary facial technique to lift and support the face and neck

The Cogs Training Course teaches 3D Barbed Cogs, a revolutionary facial technique to lift and support the face and neck. This system will lift the full face and neck giving support for over three years. As a non surgical treatment this is the most comprehensive way to treat your clients as an alternative to a full face lift.

This mini 3d barbed cog face lift design is recommended for clients with advanced signs of sagging. The Cogs Training Course covers upper and lower face areas and adds a greater versatility for the over 45 year-old age bracket and show a less defined face contour, I.E. more or less visible nasolabial folds and/or marionette wrinkles. The neckline and sub-mental fold have begun to droop; while many clients are not obvious cervicofacial lifting candidates, others are steps away from remedial surgery. Even then, treatment with mini barbed suture (P-COG) can show immediate and visible improvement.
