Years Younger Challenge
Years Younger Challenge for Gillian
Earlier this year, Gillian, friend and client Lesley of Chaelis Advanced Aesthetics in Lowick agreed to under-go some non-surgical treatments, followed by a hair and makeover by friend, Kim of Excel Hair and Beauty Academy in Corby for a ‘Years Younger’ challenge.
Some before photos were taken of Gillian and we asked members of the Chaelis Coterie group on Facebook to guess her and the average age from photos posted came up as 54 yrs.
Between the end March and May, Gillian visited the Chaelis clinic several times and underwent a number of non-surgical treatments including:
- Jawline and Cheekbone augmentation using threads to enhance facial structure
- RF micro-needling prior to threads to stimulate fibroblast action (new collagen and elastin growth)
- Full facial anti wrinkle injections where needed
- Skinboosters including HA plasma showers treatments to tighten, brighten and plump up skin
- Under eye threads to remove dark circles
- Under chin threads to tighten loose skin
- Filler to cheek and jawline to support threads
- Special under eye skin booster injections to reduce lines and wrinkles
Once the swelling and bruising settled (which is normal), Gillian visited Kim at Excel Hair and Beauty Academy last month for the final part of this challenge.
And here are the results! Gillian’s average is is now….43.5 years old
With an initial average age given as 54 yrs and new average age of 43.5 yrs….Gillian now looks over 10 years younger
“Thank you so much Lesley and Kim. It’s amazing how some skin treatments followed by a hair and makeover can make you feel ‘a million dollars’. The experience, expertise and quality of Lesley and Kim’s work is truly outstanding. Both ladies explained the process and I felt totally safe in their hands at all times. I cannot recommend Lesley and Kim enough and it’s been a pleasure to work with them for this ‘Years Younger’ challenge.” Gillian, Kettering.
AND MY REAL AGE IS… 52.5yrs…thank you for shedding nearly 10 years off my true age ladies xx

Words from Lesley on the challenge
“When my dear friend agreed to be a make-over model, I was delighted as this was my initial challenge…getting her to agree in the first place! Gillian is a bit of a ‘wuss’ when it comes to needles and during the face mapping consultation I could see the worry grow on her face as I explained some of the procedures she would be having. But of course, I reassured her that Lidocaine injections will be offered and this coupled with numbing cream will remove any pain concerns (phew 2nd challenge-tick…she is still up for it).
Over an eight week period, Gillian had a range of treatments and yes there was the occasional squeak, squeal, moan, groan, head jerk and leg jerk, but all in all she did very well and I’m very proud of her. She never quit, followed all the aftercare guidelines (including wearing a wimple at night) and come back for the next set of treatments time and time again.
There is still a little way to go as some of the treatments still haven’t come into their own; threads and skin boosters can take a couple of months more to reach optimisation.
I’m delighted to have been involved in this challenge. I thank Kim for doing the final hair and make-over and of course Gillian for saying ‘yes’ and sticking with it all the way to the end!
And I’m sure you will agree the results are amazing!!”
Lesley xx
